I know what you’re thinking. These just look like ziplock baggies velcroed onto a rain jacket. Well good work! That is exactly what these are, and exactly as complicated as it was to make them! You can be cool like this lady and actually sew your entire jacket out of ziplock baggies like a boss. However, I wanted to be able to take my baggies on and off in order to keep them clean, (because obviously I use my snacket so often).
I worked on mine and Landons on a long car trip to Colorado. Let me tell you, if there is anything that will break up the long drive through Nebraska, it is snacket making. Unfortunately, the only thing I had to cut the velcro was a buck knife which got pretty dangerous and made the driver pretty uneasy. Luckily a local gas station had scissors and everything went much more smoothly. When they were all done we stopped at another gas station and filled up our snackets with snacks. When we finally got to the party in Frisco Colorado we were a hit! Let me tell you, a snacket is a great way to break the ice and make new friends.
People will say, “is that a jacket with snacks in the pockets?” and you’ll say, “No, it’s my snacket.”
Here’s what you’ll need:
Scissors
Snacks for inside of snacket
That’s it! Keep snacking friends
